Kazakhstan's Astana cycling team has retained the fifth line in Union Cycliste International (UCI) rating, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Vesti.kz. The updated world rating was based on Giro d’Italia marathon cycling race’s results. Kazakhstan team scored 495 points. Russian Katyusha is the leader of the rating. It replaced Belgian Omega Pharma-Quickstep pushing the latter to the fourth line. Italian Liquigas-Cannondale is ranked second, British Sky Procycling follows it. Spanish Joachim Rodriguez is the best Katyusha cyclist according to the individual ranking. Belgian Tom Boonen of Quickstep is second in the rating and Italian Vincenzo Nibali of Liquigas-Cannondale is third. The best representatives of Astana are Italian Enrico Gasparotto and Czech Roman Kreuziger who are ranked 15th and 16th correspondingly.
