Boxer Niyazimbetov reached Olympics final

Adilbek Niyazimbetov, Kazakhstan boxer in the -81 kg weight division, reached the final of the boxing competition at the Olympics, Tengrinews.kz reports. The Kazakhstan boxer won over Ukraine’s Alexander Gvozdik in the semi-final. The first round finished in a draw of 4:4. Gvozdik was the winner of the second three-minute round with the score of 6:5, but the final round finished in favor of the Kazakhstan boxer with the score of 4:3. The fight finished in a draw 13:13, however Niyazimbetov was declared the winner by additional criteria. In final fight Niyazimbetov will stand up against Russian Egor Mekhontcev, who won Brazil’s Yamaguchi Falcao Florentino with the score 23:11.
