Basketball: Brion Rush and David Simon to stay in Astana for one more season

Kazakhstan's Astana basketball club has extended the contracts with American basketball players Brion Rush (shooting guard) and David Simon (center player) for one more year, Sports.ru reports, referring to Beobasket.net. Rush started 2012-2013 season playing for France’s Élan Chalon basketball club, but later he transferred to the Kazakhstan club, where he scored an average of 17.3 points per a VTB United League match. Simon, who has been playing for Astana since the beginning of this year, scored 14.7 points with 5.8 rebounds per game. Astana competes for Kazakhstan’s Champion title and also participates in the VTB United League.
