The statement was made during his phone conversation with Nursultan Nazarbayev. The presidents noted the need to further intensify bilateral relations between the countries. As per Ukrainian President’s press-service, bilateral trade was increasing in the passed months of 2011. The overall trade turnover grew 50.1 percent compared to the same period of 2010 and made $557 million. Export increased by 33.9 percent to $348.4 million, and import grew 88.2 percent up to $208.6 million.
