Spiritual Directorate of Kazakhstan Muslims has lunched a designers' contest for a Spring 2011 Muslim women fashion line. The winner's name will become known on October, 23 at 11 a.m. in Almaty at Baluan Sholak Sports Complex, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the administration of meshet.kz website. Earlier the official said it was a necessity to create and promote Muslims clothes. According to Muslim religious leaders the clothes should correspond to the spirit of the time and national style. The clothes that corresponds to sharia regulations is not hijab only, said the offical. Moreover, a woman could wear any garment that covers every part of the body, except the face and hands. Women could wear any clothes that doesn't contradict the Holy Koran and is fashionable at the same time. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan dress designers have long been thinking about creating a Muslim clothes. Kazakh designer Kuralay Nurkadilova, who launched a new fashion line named Kuralay Muslim took part in Islamic Fashion Festival. She also participated in a major Muslim Fashion event named “The best Muslim Collection: National Style” in Astana. Saudi Arabia princess purchased one of her dresses in Paris.
