Dance festival Evolution Summer FEST 2014 starts at the square in front of Astana Opera theater on June 21, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of the theatre.
The festival celebrates Latin American culture and dance. Professional and amateur dances will perform ballroom and Latin American dances at the festival. The goal of the event is to gather all the best Astana dance bands on one stage as a part of Evolution Summer FEST and to popularize dance culture, the organisers said.
Latin American culture is loved by many Kazakhstanis. Every year, a number of festivals take place in different cities of the country. This spring a Brazilian dance festival took place in Almaty where the public enjoyed colorful performances.
