Chairman of the Spiritual Management of Muslims of Kazakhstan and Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan Absattar Hadji Derbissali consideres that agreement or disagreement with the new edition of Kazakhstan Law On religion and religious institutions is an internal affair of Kazakhstan and its citizens, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Considering a lot of questions addressed to the Spiritual Management of Muslims of Kazakhstan regarding the threats of Djund Al-Khalifat (Soldiers of Khalifat), Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan Absattar Hadji Derbissali deems necessary to note the following: “Discussion, adoption, agreement or disagreement with the new edition of Kazakhstan Law On religion and religious institutions is an internal affair of Kazakhstan and its citizens. We will not allow anyone to interfere into our internal affairs and split our society,” the message of the Spiritual Management of Muslims of Kazakhstan was posted on meshet.kz - the official website of the central mosque. Supreme Mufti is calling Kazakhstan citizens to abstain from being drawn in this and to unite regardless of ethnic and religious origins. Earlier Kazakhstan's Supreme Mufti called Kazakhstan residents to stay calm and not take Djund Al-Khalifat threats seriously. He had not watched the extremists' video back then. Derbissali tagged the threats unreasonable, considering that Kazakhstan was threatened even before the law was adopted. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that Djund Al-Khalifat (Soldiers of Khalifat) threatened Kazakhstan with violence in case the authorities do not cancel the Law on Religion. The islamists think that the political course pursued by Kazakhstan is similar to those of Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. By Zhuldyz Seisenbekova
