Mr. Sauat Mynbayev has been relieved of duties as Minister of Oil and Gas, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing President Nazarbayev’s website. According to the statement, he is being transferred to another position. March 12, 2012 he had been relieved of duties as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources to be appointed Minister of Oil and Gas. Before that he served as Minister of Agriculture, head of Development Bank of Kazakhstan, head of Caspian Industrial and Finance Group, Vice Prime Minister, head of Samruk State Assets Management Company. Mr. Uzakbai Karabalin has been appointed the new Minister of Oil and Gas.
