Kazakhstan Presidnet Nursultan Nazarbayev had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and offered support and help in elimination of consequences of the earthquake that hit Uzbekistan on July 20, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's official website. “The President expressed his sincere condolences in relation to human victims of the earthquake in Uzbekistan. Nursultan Nazarbayev passed the words of support to the families of the victims. The President offered wide support and help in elimination of the earthquake consequences,” the President's website writes. Besides, Nazarbayev and Karimov discussed the further development of cooperation between the two countries. “In particular, the Presidents exchanged their opinions on active economic cooperation, especially in industries and agriculture,” the President's press-service said. A 6.2 earthquake rocked southwestern Kyrgyzstan and eastern Uzbekistan at night of July 20 causing death of 13 people and injuring another 80 in Uzbekistan. 15 people were injured in Kyrgyzstan. There are no Kazakh citizens among the injured.
