Iran is ready to follow President Nazarbayev’s idea of non-proliferation, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Asian, Pacific and Central Asian countries Seyyed Abbas Araghchi. “We share President Nazarbayev’s stance on non-proliferation and on nuclear power used solely for peaceful purposes. “Nuclear weapons for no one, nuclear power for everyone” is our slogan. Accepting the high ideals of President Nazarbayev in terms of nuclear power industry, Iran is ready to cooperate with Kazakhstan”, Mr. Araghchi told journalists following his meeting with the Kazakh Foreign Minister Erzhan Kazykhanov. He also emphasized that Iran does not buy nuclear fuel pellets from Kazakhstan, meeting its domestic need for the fuel relying on its own resources.
