China suggested to create a Friendship Commission under the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization), Tengrinews.kz reports from the SCO summit in Beijing. “The Chinese party is suggesting to establish SCO Commission of Good Neighborhood, Friendship and Cooperation aimed for promotion of public exchanges between the member-countries and strengthen the social and public basis of SCO development,” Chinese President Hu Jintao said at the meeting of the Council of heads of SCO member-states. “We need to make SCO a large house of peace and accord. Our countries have to enhance cooperation and coordination, improve mutual understanding and trust and comprehensively implement the Agreement on long-term good neighborhood, friendship and cooperation. It is important to apply respect, equal-righted consultations, mutual understanding and flexibility when resolving the existing problems, suggesting efforts for creating balance in the region and building the large house of peace and accord for all the people in the region,” Hu Jintao said.
