Tengrinews.kz – Passengers flying from Astana have been advised to prepare in advance due to ongoing repair works at the airport.
According to the airport’s press service, maintenance work has started on site, and travelers are urged to check their hand luggage and baggage before arriving to avoid delays during pre-flight screening.
“To avoid slowing down other passengers during security checks, we ask you to review the contents of your carry-on and baggage in advance and familiarize yourself with the list of prohibited items,” the airport said in a statement.
The works are part of scheduled maintenance on the runway and will continue from April 15 to May 31, 2026. Repairs will be carried out daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
As a result, all flights scheduled during these hours have been rescheduled to earlier or later times. Passengers are advised to check updated departure times on the airport’s official website or with their airline.
To avoid queues, travelers are recommended to arrive at the airport in advance:
- at least 2 hours before domestic flights;
- at least 3 hours before international flights.
The airport noted that the terminal and all passenger service areas will continue operating as usual, adding that the works are being carried out to improve flight safety and upgrade infrastructure.
