Over 40 kg of marijuana and weapons have been seized from six members of an organized criminal group in Temirtau, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Karaganda oblast Interior Department. According to the Department's information, all the apprehended are members of a group that supplies and distributes drugs from southern regions of Kazakhstan. The drugs were found at every member of the group. The total weight made 44 kg, including 42 kg of marijuana and 2 kg of hash. "Besides, a search in the apartment of one of the criminals that followed the apprehension revealed two empty F-1 grenade shells, traumatic and gas guns and a case for AKM-74 gun," the Department's press-service states. It is known that all the apprehended men are residents of Temirtau (a town near Karaganda) aged 22-39; three of them were previously convicted. Criminal cases were initiated on the seizure of drugs and weapons.
