Kazakhstan drivers can pay fines through the Internet starting from April 1, Tengrinews.kz reports. E-government's has covered all the regions of Kazakhstan with the service. Earlier it was unavailable in Atyrau, Akrau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda and Zhambyl. The service of Communications and Information Ministry and Internal Affairs Ministry is available here. To pay a fine a driver needs to fill in the license number or the data specified in his violation report (type, number and series of the blank and the violation date) and to use his/her payment card. The information will be automatically sent to Interior Ministry’s centralized base for violation records and the fine will be paid. The system confirms the payment by issuing an electronic receipt stored in the personal account of the e-government user. The receipt may also be printed out and submitted to the road police to get back a driver’s license in case the document is suspended. The list of fines to be paid online, however, does not include the violations registered by photo and video control cameras. This option will be made available in the first half of 2011 in Astana and followed by the rest of Kazakhstan shortly, the Communications Ministry said.
