International specialized tactical peacekeeping military training Desert Eagle-2011 started in Almaty Oblast at the Iliysliy training center, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports. Militarymen from Kazakhstan, the United States, Great Britain, Lithuania and Kyrgyzstan are taking part. The training will last for around three weeks and will involve over 1400 servicemen and 100 military vehicles. The Desert Eagle-2011 focuses on interaction, military and operational compatibility in peacekeeping operations. According to the news agency the area and scope of trainings at Iliyskiy and Shoshkala sites, as well as on Novo-Iliystk bedding area and Bereg training center will be increased this year. The training will involves helicopters of Kazakhstan’s defense aviation, pontoon bridge battalion, military police and cadets of the Military Institute of Kazakhstan’s Defense Ministry.
