Tengrinews.kz – Fraudsters have begun posing as editorial staff to deceive people.

The scammers began posing as editorial staff and sending messages, claiming that they are preparing materials about teachers, cultural figures and other famous personalities. They can write from different Kazakhstan numbers via instant messengers. According to some reports, they can even call, posing as our staff.

The main goal of their scheme is to lure the victim to a certain site, where, under the pretext of confirmation or registration on the forum, they request an SMS code. Having received the code, the scammers probably use it to gain access to personal data or financial transactions. The editorial staff of Tengrinews.kz filed a statement with the police.
