May 17 Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met John Ferraro, COO of Ernst & Young. The Prime Minister wrote about is in his Twitter account. Late April Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four auditors, published a survey of investors’ opinions on Kazakhstan. According to Ernst & Young, 81% of the investors believe their investments to Kazakhstan were a right decision. 76% of them consider the investments to be successful. The number of investors believing that the investment climate in Kazakhstan has enhanced for the past 3 years is twice higher than the number of investors that find the investment climate deteriorating. According to 32% of the respondents, Kazakhstan is one of 3 most attractive CIS (post-soviet) countries in terms of investments. Among the barriers to business, the respondents named lack of infrastructure (19%), complicated administrative procedures (16%), political factors (8%) and corruption (7%).
