OSCE/ODIHR mission to announce preliminary results Monday afternoon

OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is to announce preliminary results of monitoring of the presidential elections on Monday, April 4, Novosti Kazakhstan cites a spokesman of the ODIHR/OSCE mission. “On Monday afternoon there will be a press-conference held on preliminary results of monitoring”, the agency reported. The Central Election Commission (CEC) is to announce its preliminary results before noon on Monday, April 4. April 3 Kazakhstan is holding presidential elections. Ballot papers bear four names of presidential candidates running for office of the President – incumbent Nursultan Nazarbayev, Zhambyl Akhmetbekov of the Communist People’s Party, Senator Gani Kassymov and Head of the Tabigat Environment Group Mels Eleusizov.
