Nazarbayev called to expand cooperation with Indonesia

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Vice-President of Indonesia Boediono in the framework of the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana, the President's website writes. “We have always considered Indonesia a promissing partner for us. It is a large country that we have always wanted to have friendly economic and political relations with. I have warm memories about my visit to your country in 1996. I hope that my coming visit to Indonesia will give a new push to our relations. And our meeting is also a big step in revival of the contacts between our two countries,” Nazarbayev said. The President also noted that Kazakhstan would like to invite representatives of Indonesian businessmen for participation in implementation of the program of forcing industrial and innovative development of the country. Boediono said that he is very glad to visit Kazakhstan and Astana, particularly. “I am very impressed with development and excellent lay-out of the capital. In our meeting with the President Nursultan Nazarbayev we discussed the possibility of further enhancement and deepening of bilateral cooperation, especially in trade and commerce,” he added.
