Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has made a statement regarding the situation in Ukraine.
As reported by the official representative of the ministry, Aybek Smadiyarov, the Kazakhstan embassy is operating as usual.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a situation center that monitors the developments. According to our information, the foreign diplomatic corps continues its work in Kyiv and has not evacuated its citizens," Smadiyarov said.
He added that no requests for evacuation have been received from Kazakh citizens, and special flights are not planned at this stage.
"As you know, military actions in Ukraine have been ongoing for several years. According to our estimates, there may be around 300 Kazakh citizens in the country. However, it is difficult to give an exact number due to the situation in the country," he emphasized.
As the official representative of the ministry pointed out, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already recommended that Kazakh citizens in Ukraine leave the country.
"We are working, and Kazakh diplomats will provide all necessary assistance if compatriots request it. In any case, we will act based on the further development of the situation," he concluded.
