Kazakhstan has learned from Middle East and North Africa, Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov said during the IV Economic Forum in Astana today, Tengrinews.kz reports. When answering a question of John Defterios of CNN [acting as the Forum’s moderator] on what Kazakhstan has been doing to evade Middle East and North Africa scenarios, Karim Massimov answered: “We have been closely following the events in the Middle East and North Africa. These are lessons for us. First of all, we should take greater care of the young generation to provide a raft of opportunities for them. We have put in place a special program for the young… this program seeks to create opportunities, rather than just ensure income sharing”. Alongside the Head of Kazakh Government, four Nobel Prize winners - Robert Mundel, John Nash, James Mirrlees and Roger Kornberg – were answering questions.
