How President Tokayev was welcomed in Mongolia

At the ramp, Tokayev was greeted by an honor guard from the Mongolian Armed Forces. The soldiers were dressed in red and blue kaftans (robes) styled to resemble the attire of Genghis Khan’s personal guard. They wore helmets typical of that era, but instead of medieval weapons, they carried Soviet Simonov self-loading carbines.

As previously reported, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Mongolia on a state visit at the invitation of President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. The visit includes high-level negotiations and the signing of several important documents.
