Consequently, a new government will be formed following the elections”, Mr. Ertysbayev said. He stressed that the current government headed by Prime Minister “has been working well”. According to the Central Elections Commission (CEC), the incumbent President Nazarbayev gained 95.5%, followed by Senator Gani Kassymov (1.9%), communist Zhambyl Akhmetbekov (1.9%) and environmentalist Mels Eleusizov (1.2%).
