Kazakhstan ahead of Russia by IT development

Kazakhstan was ranked 67th in development of information technologies list made by analysts of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The Networked Readiness Index-2010-2011 list compares 138 countries. Sweden is holding the first place in the list both this year and last year. Top five IT-developed countries also include Singapore, Finland, Switzerland and USA. Almost all the countries retained their last year's positions in the list. Finland has gone 3 ranks up. Kazakhstan was ranked 68th last year. It is ahead of such post-Soviet countries as Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, but behind Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. The Networked Readiness Index list is made annually by analysts of the WEF and INSEAD business-school. It is based on many parameters. A new global report that includes the above rating may be downloaded from the WEF website.
