200 wagons-hoppers for grain transportation will be manufactured for Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (national railroads company) in 2012, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of the National Innovations Fund. "The wagons for grain transportation will be manufactured by ZIKSTO plant in Petropavlovsk with some support from the construction bureau of transport manufacturing. According to the signed contract, 200 Kazakhstan-made wagons will be manufactured and supplied to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. The cost of the contract is over 2.7 billion tenge ($18 million)," the company's press-service writes. This is currently the largest commodities manufacture and supply contract under technological agreements, the press-service states. All costs are funded by the construction bureau of transport manufacturing under the State Program of Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development for 2010-2014. According to the chairman of the National Innovations Fund Aidyn Kulseitov, this is the most successful experience in manufacturing of new commodities by Kazakhstan car-making companies in the whole history of the construction bureau, starting from 2010. "This contract proves the solvency of state support to car-making via implementation of the technological memorandums. We hope that it will be a signal to other Kazakhstan companies for activation of manufacturing of new commodities. We are also open to cooperation and have all the resources to help them," Kulseitov noted. Besides, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Astana on March 13, 2012 between National Innovations Fund, Kazakhstan Union of Car-Makers and National Association of Mining and Mining-Mettalurgic Companies of Kazakhstan. The subject of the memorandum is development of Kazakhstan car-making for mining and mining-metallurgical sector.
