A recreational therapist from Pavlodar Alexander Myakota has invented exercising equipment to treat infantile cerebral palsy (ICP), Tengrinews reports citing 24.kz.

Little boy Emir is one of the patients who started walking after practicing on the wonder exercise equipment. “I think it is very efficient. Our boy could not hold his own weight. In three or four month he is able to hold his weight and has already started making his first steppes,” Emir’s grandmother Ainur Musakhodzhaeva said.

“The exercising complex has three modules designed to train our patients starting with easy moves and gradually increasing the difficulty level to imitate the real walking,” Myakota said. He added that the exercising increases esodic impulse through stimulation of soles.

Neurologist Yelena Lozovyh also acknowledged the positive effects of the treatment on the patients.

Little Marian said that he liked exercising with the equipment because he managed to start walking on his own. His mother Ludmila Dokuchaeva added that it was not easy for her son, but they would continue exercising as it helped them make the first steppes.

Unfortunately, ICP cannot be treated fully. But as neurologists admit, Alexader Myakota was able to bring children closer to recovery.
