Kazakhstan residents have almost $32 billion on bank deposits

Kazakhstan residents saved over 4.8 trillion tenge ($32 billion) on bank deposits as of September, Kapital.kz reports citing Kazakhstan National Bank. A majority of the deposits is registered in Almaty: over 2.1 trillion tenge ($14 billion) or 45 percent of the total amunt. Astana is in the second place with deposits worth 1.3 trillion tenge ($8.6 billion). Almost every 3rd deposit is registered to an Astana resident. Karaganda oblast is in the third place by deposits with over 191 billion tenge ($1.2 billion) of the residents' savings. It is followed by Mangistau oblast with deposits worth 157 billion tenge ($1.05 billion) and East-Kazakhstan oblast with 154 billion tenge ($1.03 billion) on bank deposits.
