Average salary will make 150 thousand tenge ($980) in five years in Kazakhstan, the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dosayev said during the online conference at Tengrinews. "According to the forecast on Kazakhstan's socioeconomic development in 2014-2018, the number of employed people expected to make 8.8 million in 2018 (there are 8.6 million employed people in 2013). The average nominal monthly wages will make 151.9 ($994) thousand tenge in 2018 (it makes 105.9 thousand tenge ($693) in 2013)," Dosayev said. The Minister added that the government of Kazakhstan had started working on implementation of blanket declaring of profits. After the initiative is in place all the citizens of Kazakhstan will have to file declarations. Now such declarations are only filed by public servants. "However, the transition process is rather expensive, so the implementation will be gradual," he said. Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova said earlier that Kazakhstan was planning to set ceilings of salaries. She pointed out those salary ceilings were expected to help root out disproportions in the salaries of people employed in the same industry.
