Radiation dump discovered in Aktobe oblast

Excessive radiation background was discovered in Aktobe oblast at the territory of a rubbish dump close to Mugalzhar village, Kazakhstan Ministry of Emergency Situations reports. “Ecological monitoring at the rubbish dump territory discovered excessive of radiation,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations writes. The general dump covers the area of 150 square meters while the abnormally radioactive area is 25 square meters. Radiation level in the area is 816 microsievert per hour. The maximum permissible radiation level in Kazakhstan is 30 microsievert per hour. Residential buildings are located outside of the radioactive area. The abnormal area has been fenced.
