A special commission has been formed to investigate causes of the explosion of the petrol tank truck near Rixos hotel in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Almaty administration. The Akim (Mayor) instructed to create a special commission that will investigate into the causes and the scale of the accident that happened at the crossing of Seifullin and Kabanbay Batyr streets. The special commission is investigating the accident and evaluating the damage, the press-service said. The victims will receive compensations from those responsible for the accident. The Akim of the region also instructed to render the financial aide to owners of burnt cars and apartments. The petrol tank lorry exploded near Rixos hotel in Almaty at the crossing of Seifullin and Kabanbay Batyr streets after crashing into an offroader. The truck’s driver died at the accident site because his door got jammed and he could not get out of the truck before the petrol inflamed. The fire moved on to the RealSport sports shop, and #138 Kabanbay Batyr residential building. According to the rescuers, 40 people were evacuated from the building. No casualties were reported.
