Ferry ran ashore in East Kazakhstan

A privately owned ferry with 32 cars and passengers on board has run ashore in Bukhtarminsk lake of East Kazakhstan oblast, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan. It is reported, that the ferry was cruising the lake from Kokpekty to Kurshim side, but failed to arrive to the mooring in the evening on April 21, Saturday, because it ran ashore. "70 people were evacuated from the ferry by the water safety forces of the regional department of the Emergency Situations Ministry. No injuries have been reported," the authorities said.
