Brakes fail, bus crashes into tree in Almaty

A bus in Almaty has crashed into a tree knocking down a fence on its way because of a brakes failure, Tengrinews reports citing STV channel.

A bus in Almaty has crashed into a tree knocking down a fence on its way because of a brakes failure, Tengrinews reports citing STV channel.

The accident took place at 11:00 am on April 25th on Abai avenue right before Auezov street. The driver of the №118 bus turned into an alley to escape a road accident. As a result, the bus crashed a fence on its way and flew over a ditch and smashed into a tree. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident.

The bus driver said that he realized that the brakes were not working when he tried to stop at the traffic lights.
