Tengrinews.kz - A 16-year-old schoolgirl has fallen into sexual slavery in Kyzylorda region.

The official page of the "NeMolchi.kz" on social media reported that a 16-year-old schoolgirl from Kyzylorda fell into sexual slavery. Allegedly, her classmates were involved in this situation.

"The girl had been missing from home since February. Her parents searched for her, but the police did not assist and threatened to take away their parental rights. The girl occasionally contacted them, saying that she was working in various places, but her parents could not locate her. She said that she was forced to make such videos to prevent her parents from raising alarm," the publication states.

It also notes that the schoolgirl was subjected to torture and abuse.

Children's Ombudsman Dinara Zakiyeva stated that a criminal case has been opened regarding this incident. The Committee for children rights protection of the Ministry of Education has commented on the situation, noting that the Commissioner for Children's Rights has visited the injured girl and her family.

"She is receiving psychological and medical assistance. Law enforcement is conducting an investigation, and the case is being monitored by the Committee for children rights protection," the committee stated.

The Kyzylorda police department has revealed the charges filed against suspects. The charges include:

  • Part 3 of Article 134: "Involvement of a minor in prostitution by a group of individuals in premeditated collusion."
  • Clause 3 of Part 2 of Article 309: "Organization or maintenance of brothels and pimping involving a minor."
  • Clause 2 of Part 2 of Article 194: "Extortion by a group of individuals in premeditated collusion, including threats of violence or property damage."
  • Clause 1 of Part 3 of Article 299: "Inducement of a minor to use narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances."
  • Part 1 of Article 110: "Torture."
  • Part 2 of Article 140: "Failure to fulfill parental responsibilities."

The suspects are currently held in custody. The department confirmed that judicial examinations are underway and the investigation is being closely monitored by the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Kyzylorda regional police.

On August 15, Dinara Zakiyeva announced that the girl's family has been provided with round-the-clock security.

Following the scandal involving the schoolgirl, there has been a series of dismissals. The Akim of the region previously stated that those responsible had done nothing to prevent this egregious case.

The staff of the educational institution does not want to discuss anything with journalists or outsiders. Classmates of the victim, who studied at the same school, reported that she was shy and did not stand out among her peers.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the minister noted that the investigation is ongoing and urged against making hasty conclusions.

"This matter is under my control. The investigation is not yet complete, and it is important to avoid making hasty decisions. We must wait for the investigation to conclude to avoid harming the lives of individuals," said Gani Beisembayev.
