Kurmangazy Сonservatory Choir awarded in Vienna Choir Competition

Kazakh National Kurmangazy Сonservatory’s Student Choir has been awarded with two Gold Diplomas of the 28th International Franz Schubert Choir Competition & Festival, Tengrinews.kz reports. The Almaty-based Сonservatory Choir directed by Yan Rudkovskiy has performed in two categories of the contest and gained the highest awards in both of the categories. Besides, the Choir haы also performed Mozart's Coronation Mass during the Festival’s closing ceremony in Konzerthaus Vienna, one of the most well-known European concert halls. Prominent musicians and orchestra conductors were in the jury of the International Choir Competition that was held on June 13-17. More than 30 choirs from different countries took part in Franz Schubert Choir Competition & Festival. Earlier Kurmangazy Сonservatory Choir became a prize-winner of the 6th International Festival of Creative Youth and Students in the Crimea. It was also awarded with two Gold Diplomas and a Special Prize of the Italian Venezia in Musica International Choir Competition and Festival and with a Gold Medal at Chinese World Choir Games-2010.
