Korean Film Festival in Kazakhstan

Attention all the K-Pop and Korean film addicts, the South Korean Film Festival will take place in Almaty, Astana and Aktobe starting on April 11 to May 3rd, Tengrinews reports.


Attention all the K-Pop and Korean film addicts, the South Korean Film Festival will take place in Almaty, Astana and Aktobe starting on April 11 to May 3rd, Tengrinews reports.

This time, the Korean Cultural Center will present four films to Kazakhstani audience. Korean film lovers will be able to see My Paparotti (2013) based on the true story of Kim Ho-Joong, who first appeared on Korean TV show on July 18, 2009 and won many hearts with his incredible voice and touching story.

The film festival will also present The Client (2011) directed by Young-Sung Sohn. The courtroom thriller tells a story of a talented lawyer and determined prosecutor that struggle to uncover the truth of a young woman’s murder with the body missing.

Late Blossom (2012) and Arahan (2004) will also be presented during the festival.

The film festival will take place in Aktobe on April 11-12 at Kinopark 7, in Almaty on April 26 at Kinopark 11 and at Kinopark7 in Astana on May 2-3.
