Kazakhstan athletes win 3 more medals at Universiade

On July 16 Kazakhstan national team won 3 more medals at the Universiade in Kazan, Vesti.kz reports. Bagdat Zharylgassov won the silver medal in sambo in the -62kg weight category. He lost to Russian Iliy Khlybov with a small margin in the final combat. A bronze medal was brought by Dildash Kuryshbayeva who competed in sambo in the -68kg weight category. She prevailed over her rival from Belarus in the fight for the third place. Greco-Roman wrestler Almat Kebispayev won another bronze medal in the -60kg weight class. Kazakhstan was in the 18th place in the general ranking on the penultimate day of the tournament with a total of 30 medals: 3 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze.
