American boxer Gabriel Rosado said he would win the fight against WBA world champion and IBO belt holder Gennady Golovkin of Kazakhstan by knockout, Vesti.kz reports. The bout will be held on January 19 in New-York (USA). Golovkin will fight against 26-y.o. Rosado, who has already self confidently declared that he would win the match. “Both of us are knock-outers, but his shots have to land and I know that I have a better defense. The question is....can he handle my power? I don't think he's fought a guy who can punch like me, BoxingScene.com reports, citing Rosado. The American is determined to win and he said that if he fails to land a knockout he would be satisfied by a decision victory. "Expect a great fight. Expect a great performance of me. I'm going to showcase my talent on another level. I want to win by knockout. Would I be satisfied with a decision...of course, because its the middleweight championship of the world. But I want to do it in impressive fashion, I want to make a statement, I want to knock him out." Rosado has lost his status of IBF super welterweight obligatory candidate when he agreed to fight in a title WBA middleweight bout.
