The undefeated Astana Arlans of Kazakhstan have travelled to Caracas to face Venezuela Caciques on March 7, Tengrinews reports.

The Arlans obliterated Caciques 5:0 in the home match on January 17. This time around, the newcomers from South America had a chance to fight the Wolves back in their home ring at Poliedro De Caracas.

In the flyweight weight category (-52 kg), Olzhas Sattibayev of Kazakhstan faced a Venezuelan debutant Carlos Jose Ascanio Perez. Sattibayev having more experience in the WSB outclassed his opponent throughout all 5 rounds. The 26 y.o. Kazakh boxer won the first bout of the night by the unanimous decision of the judges.

In the following lightweight division (60 kg), Zakir Saifullin of the Kazakh team fought against Fradimil Macayo. Saifullin debuted in the fight against Dawid Michelus of the Raffako Hussars. Macayo managed to defeat the Kazakhstani boxer by a split decision 2:1.

A welterweight (-69 kg) debutant of the WSB Aslanbek Shymbergenov  of Kazakhstan got in the ring to face Gabriel Jose Maestre Perez. Shymbergenov had a great start of the 5th season after defeating an American boxer Brian Ceballo on February 8. However, the more experienced Maestre Perez, 28 beat his 21 y.o. opponent 50:44, 50:44, 50:45. The Venezuelan team led with 2 victories over the Arlans.

The light heavyweight (-81 kg) Hrvoje Sep capped for the Kazakh boxing team once again showcased his crushing moves in the ring in a fight against Albert Ramon Ramirez Duran who debuted in the 5th season of the WSB. The experienced and tough Croat won over Duran on points by a split decision and brought the score to 2:2.

The super heavy weight (+91) – usually not a very long lasting bout for Arlans – turned into a decider bout. Number 1 super heavy weight knock outer Filip Hrgovic faced Edgar Ramon Munoz Mata. This season, the Croatian boxer turned into a KO monster obliterating all of his opponents before the final bell. The fight against Munoz Mata was not an exception either. Hrgovic TKOed Munoz Mata in the 2nd round bringing the Astana Arlans victory over Venezuela Caciques 3:2.

Next, the Arlans are fighting Raffako Hussars Poland in Shymkent, Kazakhstan on March 13. The Director of the Astana Arlans Serik Sapiev earlier said that fights would be taking place in different cities of Kazakhstan to promote WSB and boxing general in the country. Arlans had two bouts in Sapiev and Golovkin’s native Karaganda. The Astana Arlans - Baku Fires fight will also take place in Shymkent on March 20.

In the meanwhile the Arlan’s super heavyweight Ruslan Myrsatayev who has been with the team since the very beginning left the team due to an injury. The Astana Arlan’s welcomed the bronze medalist of the London Olympics Ivan Dychko. The boxer debuts in the WSB in the super heavyweight division against Puerto Rico Hurricane on April 11 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
