Kazakhstan General Prosecutor told the head of the CIS observers mission about measures taken to stabilize the the situation in Zhanaozen, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the message of press-service of the General Prosecution Office. Prosecutor Askhat Daulbayev met with head of the CIS observers mission Yevgeniy Sloboda on January 5. “Daulbayev told about the main activities of Kazakhstan prosecution authorities aimed to ensure law and order and answered the questions about measures taken to stabilize the situation in Zhanaozen,” the press-service states. Sloboda was informed on the status of the election process and on the work done by the prosecutors to ensure observance of legality during the elections period, review of complains on violations of the election legislation and the measures taken to eliminate the violations. “Yevgeniy Sloboda expressed his gratitude for warm welcome and comprehensive information and expressed hope for a further cooperation,” the press-service writes.
