Against the backdrop of the current hardships the Russian economy has been facing, the two leaders broached the subject of mutual trade between the two nations. The two governments have been tasked with coming up with mutually acceptable solutions.
Vladimir Putin briefed Nursultan Nazarbayev on his talks with the leaders of Germany and France held in Moscow February 6 and the Normand telephone talks held February 8.
Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed his confidence that the quadrilateral negotiations to be held in Minsk February 11 will enable to reach a compromise in finding ways to settle the conflict in Ukraine.
