Kazakhstan President presented a Tumar (Kazakh traditional charm) to his American counterpart, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's press-service. Nursultan Nazarbayev gave this unexpected gift to Barack Obama at the Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul. According to the press-service, giving Kazakh traditional Tumar to the U.S. President, Nazarbayev wished him luck at the coming presidential elections. Nuclear security was not the only subject of the two leaders discussed. Nursultan Nazarbayev called the American partners for a more active economic cooperation. In particular, he offered American companies to take part in the state program of accelerated industrial-innovative development. American President noted that his country fully supports Kazakhstan's efforts to enter the WTO. "I also welcome the results of the last elections that created a multi-party parliament in Kazakhstan. I would like to emphasize that the situation in Zhanaozen has been stabilized under your supervision. All this has once again demonstrated the high trust that the people of Kazakhstan put into their Leader," Barack Obama said.
