Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Director General of IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) Yukiya Amano during Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's press-service.
"Last year you rendered an official visit to Kazakhstan. Before than you made a video address during the Summit in Washington. In these two years Kazakhstan has performed a huge work for ensuring nuclear security. Cooperation of Kazakhstan and IAEA is developing dynamically. Tomorrow in my speech I will talk about Kazakhstan's achievements in this realm," the press-service cites Nazarbayev.
"It is a great honor for me to meet with you here in Seoul. During my visit to Kazakhstan last year I found out about Kazakhstan's achievements in nuclear non-proliferation and security. Kazakhstan is the leader and the example of nuclear disarmament for many countries. I congratulate your country on the great achievements in these realms," Yukiya Amano said.
The Nuclear Security Summit is held in Seoul on March 26-27. The summit will be attended by presidents of 53 countries and 4 international organizations.
In the first day of the summit Kazakhstan President has already met with U.S. President Barack Obama, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Turkish Prime-Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and international policies.
