Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met Turkey Parliament Speaker Cemil Çiçek, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing President’s Press Service. “We are brotherly nations and have been actively cooperating both in economic and culture realms. There have been regular meetings at the highest level, notably meetings with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. To strengthen the bilateral relations, there has been the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) established. Besides, Kazakhstan is home to 20 Kazakh-Turkish schools and two universities. All this testifies to the high level of trust and dynamic development of the bilateral relations. It is important to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties”, President Nazarbayev emphasized. “It’s not my first visit to Kazakhstan. Every time I come I see the nation and its capital city Astana developing. I have once again testified to the ongoing advances. My current visit is aimed at strengthening of the inter-parliamentary ties”, Turkey Parliament Speaker Cemil Çiçek said.
