Maksut Zhumayev, a famous Kazakhstan mountain climber who has conquered all the 8-thousanders of the world without bottle oxygen, told Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev about the partnership of Kazakhstan and Austrian climbers in Vienna, Tengrinews.kz reports. The conversation took place during the recent official meeting of Nazarbayev with Austrian President Heinz Fischer in Hofburg palace. “Talking of Nazarbayev with Fischer the Austrian president pointed at me and said: “Here is your climber who placed the flags of our countries onto the highest point in Austria”. And they waved at me. I stepped towards them and the president came to me,” Zhumayev said. According to the climber, he told Kazakhstan President about his plans and his recent ascent to the highest peak in Austria. Zhumayev said that he was so exited about the meeting that he could not recall all the details of his conversation with the President. “I only remember his smile and kind words.
