Chairman of Kazakhstan Senate Kairat Mami met with Ambassador Aurélia Bouchez, head of EU delegation to Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Senate’s press-service. During the meeting Mami said that Kazakhstan fully understood the growing interest of the European Parliament towards Kazakhstan's internal political situation. “The speakers agreed that development of democracy had to be a continuous process. Mami stressed that the process in Kazakhstan was irreversible,” the press-release states. Bouchez said that the EU viewed Kazakhstan as an important regional partner and was interested in promoting a diversified dialog and cooperation. “In this relation we expect much from the Agreement on extended partnership and cooperation that is currently being made,” the press-service writes. The Senate speaker also stressed that development of the new agreement was a priority.
