Tengrinews.kz — A trip to Mongolia ended at Astana Airport for two foreign passengers. Instead of flying to Ulaanbaatar, they received administrative reports and fines for appearing in a public place while intoxicated.

According to the press service of the Transport Police Department, the incident occurred during check-in for the Astana–Ulaanbaatar flight.

Based on a report from an airline representative, transport police officers removed two Mongolian citizens from the flight.

“Transport police officers removed two passengers, citizens of Mongolia, from the flight based on a report from an airline representative after they violated public order. They were not allowed to board the flight,” the department said.

During the check, police established that both 40-year-old passengers were under the influence of alcohol.

They were brought to administrative responsibility and fined for appearing in a public place while intoxicated.

“During the check, law enforcement officers established that two 40-year-old Mongolian citizens were intoxicated. They were held accountable and fined for appearing in a public place while intoxicated,” police clarified.

As a result, the men did not fly to Ulaanbaatar.
