A swan and her brood found themselves trapped on a busy highway, unable to cross due to heavy traffic. Police officers came to the rescue, temporarily stopping vehicles to help the feathered family reach the other side safely. The video quickly gained popularity on social media, with users calling it one of the kindest stories in recent memory.

It was revealed that the video features Police Senior Lieutenant Ali Yerulan, a patrol platoon inspector in the Kostanay district. In his seven years on the force, this was the first time he encountered such an unusual situation.
"While patrolling with my colleague Aidarbek Alseitov, I saw a swan family with small cygnets by the road, and childhood memories immediately came to mind. I remember a flock of migratory swans once stopped near our village. We were just boys then; we didn't scare the birds, but instead tried to help them continue their journey peacefully. Today, we didn't hesitate to stop traffic and allow the swans and their young to cross the road safely. For some, it was just a few minutes' wait, but for us, it was a life saved and a chance to make the world a little kinder," Ali Yerulanuly noted.
According to zoologists, swans may wander onto roads for various reasons: searching for a new body of water, protecting their offspring, or escaping predators. During bad weather, the birds can also become disoriented and end up among cars, which poses a serious danger to them.
