Tengrinews.kz — From July 13, applications for participation in the competition for educational grants will open in the eGov Mobile app and on the eGov.kz portal. Documents can be submitted online from 9:00 a.m. on July 13 until 6:00 p.m. on July 20.
This year, the service has been updated. The system now automatically checks whether an applicant has been awarded a state educational grant outside the competition.
The check is performed automatically based on data from the National Testing Center. If an applicant has already been awarded a state educational grant outside the competition, the system will notify them when they submit an application. There will be no need to submit another application through eGov.kz or eGov Mobile. Other applicants submit their applications under the general procedure. If an applicant belongs to a preferential category, the relevant status is indicated when submitting the application and confirmed automatically.
How to apply: instructions
To submit an application online, the user must:
- log in to the eGov.kz portal and open the “For citizenry” — “Education” — “Higher Education” section;
- select the service “Acceptance of documents and enrollment in organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education for training in educational programs of postgraduate education”;
- click “Request Online”;
- fill in the required fields and sign the request using one of the available signing methods;
- track the status in the personal account — a notification about the processing of the application will appear in the “History of Obtained Services” section.
Submitting an application through the eGov Mobile app is done in the same way.
Electronic queue
During the application period, due to high traffic on the eGov.kz portal, an electronic queue may be activated. After joining it, the system will automatically open access to the service when the user’s turn comes.
To avoid monitoring the queue manually, users can select the option “Notify me by SMS when my turn is approaching.” A message will be sent from the number 1414 to the mobile phone registered in the Mobile Citizens Database. If the number is not registered, it can be entered manually.
While waiting, users are advised not to close or refresh the browser page, as this will cause them to lose their place in the queue.
After submitting the application, the applicant will receive an electronic certificate in their personal account on the eGov.kz portal confirming participation in the educational grant competition.
The results of the competition will appear in the personal account no later than August 10. Winners will receive an electronic certificate confirming the award of an educational grant, while those who do not pass the competition will receive a refusal notification.
