Tengrinews.kz – Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nyssanbayev shared what the weather is expected to be like in Kazakhstan this summer.
According to meteorologists, in June, the average monthly air temperature across most of Kazakhstan is expected to be within normal ranges – from 17–20°C in the north and center to 23–25°C in the west. In the southwest and far south, it will be hotter than usual: in the plains, the average will be 24–28°C, with maximum temperatures reaching up to 45°C.
Precipitation in the west and northeast of the country will be within normal levels, while in the rest of the territory, it will be mostly below normal.
“In July, air temperatures are expected to remain within the norm, and in the east and southeast of the country, 1°C above the climatic norm. Precipitation is mostly forecasted to be within long-term averages, with the extreme northwest, north, south, and southeast expecting above-normal rainfall,” said Yerlan Nyssanbayev at a government meeting.
In August and September, no heavy or prolonged rainfall is expected, and the average monthly air temperature in most of the country will be 1°C above the climatic norm.
The Minister added that this is a preliminary forecast for summer and will still be adjusted and refined.
