Among the violators, 375 individuals were held responsible for having dual citizenship.
At Almaty Airport, police, in collaboration with the National Security Committee, identified a 32-year-old U.S. citizen who, after obtaining U.S. citizenship, had not renounced her Kazakhstani citizenship. The court decided to deport the woman and ban her from re-entering Kazakhstan for five years.
Additionally, three Russian citizens were detained at Almaty airport for the same violation. The court ordered the deportation of two of them, while the third was fined 516,880 tenge.
In October, a 71-year-old German citizen who had not renounced her Kazakhstani citizenship was detained at the Turkestan airport.
Police identified 48 individuals with dual citizenship in the East Kazakhstan region.
